FLAVASHACK ‘SOUNDCLASH’ PROMOTIONAL VIDEO

This 3D design and animation project for Flavashack was created to promote a unique face-to-face DJ event, where two DJs mixed simultaneously on separate decks, working in sync to create a single cohesive set.
Due to the unconventional format, I led the visual concept with the intention of making the promotion clear, informative, and immediately understandable.
I proposed a minimal, all-white 3D environment that functioned almost like an instructional diagram.
Two stylised 3D robots stand behind decks, facing one another to mirror the event layout.
One robot is pink and the other yellow, creating instant visual distinction between DJs.
Surrounding them, I animated a 360-degree backdrop of abstract waveforms in matching colours, representing each DJ’s sound.
As the animation progresses, the waveforms gradually merge and synchronise, visually communicating collaboration and shared rhythm.
To reflect the real event space, where the crowd surrounded the DJs, I integrated a looping 2D crowd silhouette within the 3D environment, conveying scale and atmosphere without distracting from the core concept.
I designed, modelled, textured, lit, and animated the entire scene, including camera movement, motion blur, and transitions, balancing realism with a surreal tone.
I also created the final motion graphics and text overlays, working closely with the brand owners to deliver a distinctive promotional video that boosted engagement and ticket sales.
