Something Good was built around restraint, texture, and feeling, mirroring the track’s mellow, optimistic tone.

I approached the video with a stripped-back mindset, using a balance of urban and natural locations to reflect movement between everyday reality and calm escapism.

Clean 4K footage with a subtle film emulation forms the backbone of the video, relying on composition, colour, and controlled camera movement to give the artist space to breathe within each frame.

In contrast, VHS camcorder footage is used intentionally as an interruption to the cleaner footage, adding an analog, human texture that softens the polish and grounds the video emotionally.

Film-style transitions and moments of slow motion reinforce this physical, tactile feel, allowing certain moments to linger and align with the song’s pacing and structure rather than overpower it with edits.

Every creative choice, from styling and location scouting to grading and edit rhythm, was made to serve the mood of the track and the artist’s vision.

I extended this visual language into the intro and outro titles and the cover artwork, using film photos, consistent typography, and graphics to create a cohesive release that feels considered, calm, and quietly confident across all touchpoints.
